I uninstalled HT and started with a fresh copy of v. We hope to start recording Mark next week so I’m trying to find a solution before then. So I’ve done a little playing around with my PC and HT and my external Blue Snowball mic. Anyone have any suggestions? Is my computer too old, or slow? ![]() My computer runs all of my other programs fine. It shows HT is using 31% of my processor which seems like a lot to me. I checked my task manager and I have nothing else consuming my processor or ram. When I change verses or chapters the animation takes WAY too long to change over to the new set of text. When I hold the spacebar to record it literally takes 9 whole seconds before the recording light moves from blue, to red, to green and actually starts recording. I open HT but it seems the interface is very “laggy”. Now, when I’m getting ready to record the Gospel of Mark, I’m having issues. I’ve used HT on my Lenovo Thinkpad last year and don’t remember there being issues. From there you can use SonicStage however you like.Īdapted from: SonicStage 4.I started a new topic because my problem didn’t have to do with a USB headset, but I see Martin.Knauber is having a similar issue unrelated to using a USB headset. If everything worked, once you open SonicStage and connect your device, you will be able to choose netMD from the dropdown on the right. Install these drivers, and you should get the following screen if they worked.ĩ. ![]() From here, select the directory where you unzipped the drivers in the first step, and select the. (Note that if you return to this screen after you have completed the driver install, it will list all drivers you have installed for this device, making it easy to switch between SS and PMD/WMD drivers.)ħ. Then “Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.”Ħ. Then “Browse my computer for driver software”ĥ. Either way, right click on it and select “update drivers”.Ĥ. If you have previously installed the zadig drivers it will be listed as “NetMD Walkman” under the “Universal Serial Bus devices” heading. Find the device named “NetMD,” it might be flagged with an error and standing out. Go to device manager (right click on the start button, then select it from the list).ģ. To begin with, make sure SonicStage is installed and the driver package you downloaded above has been unzipped somewhere you can easily find it.Ģ. The unsigned 64bit drivers for netMD devices can be found here ( wiki mirror) I had luck with the netMD-760 driver for my MDS-NT1 and the RH1 driver for my MZ-N920).ġ. Only install unsigned drivers from trusted sources. Unfortunately, they are unsigned making installation quite the hassle.īefore we begin, it must be noted that checking driver signatures is a security feature in Windows. Luckily someone has made 64bit drivers for netMD devices. The drivers provided with installation CDs typically do not work with Windows 10 64bit. The issue with trying to use SonicStage on Windows 10 is getting your netMD device to communicate with a modern OS. No compatibility mode settings are needed (in fact they cause issues if selected), so just treat it like a normal program. You can use the disc your device came with, or simply use the SonicStage 4.3 “Ultimate” Release 2 (Sony Insider Forums Thread and mirror here), ( mirror here). Installation of SonicStage itself is rather easy. ![]()
