Classics like King’s Quest and Day of the Tentacle have been usurped by the likes of The Walking Dead and Gone Home, but every once in a while a developer takes a stab at the old-school formula with a release like Unforeseen Incidents.īackwoods Entertainment drops players into the fictional city of Yelltown as Harper Pendrell, a local smart-mouthed handyman. In recent years, point-and-click games have fallen from the mainstream as more interactive adventure stories have risen in popularity. WTF Comic Sans is a selectable subtitle font?. I have been trying to look for similar games on Steam, but the search function is a mess, even with the tagging system.LOW Environments are littered with untapped potential. The game is currently cheaper at Humble store (it comes with a Steam key), and you can get 10% additional discount rate if you are a Humble Monthly subscriber, which makes it 5.25€ instead of 7€. There is a demo on Steam: steam://install/493940 If you can not fulfill the day requirements, you can also discard your whole hand, losing a day but not getting additional fatigue cards. There are fatigue cards to entice not to discard cards. You gather resources by playing a resource card, buying event cards, or discarding a character card. To do so, you have to gather a number of resources each day. You have to survive a given number of days in a frosty environment. It is a game called Frost, which was released on July 5th. It is a deck-building game, that I wanted to try after playing a bit of Cthulhu Realms from the Humble Monthly subscription.
