The Baron Moves-Like-a-Smoking-Plume is summoned upon completion of the Arena.The entrance is found inside a small abandoned Orcish fort, complete with a set of stables and sealed well on the outside, and a number. Created by the Demiprince Fa-Nuit-Hen, it serves as a solo trial where one must defeat waves of enemies and bosses in nine different arenas. This was changed with Update 26 so that Maelstrom weapons would drop from Normal mode, while Veteran mode now drops Perfected Maelstrom weapons. Maelstrom Arena is an otherworldly solo arena accessed from Wrothgar. Originally, Maelstrom weapons would only drop on Veteran difficulty.This was changed in Patch 2.2.9 so that the shield would instead drop alongside a Maelstrom Sword or Mace. You could originally receive a Maelstrom Shield as a stand-alone reward for completing Maelstrom Arena.You must drop this quest and pick it up again if you wish to change the difficulty midway through a run, resulting in a total loss of progress. The Normal and Veteran versions of Maelstrom Arena are counted as two separate quests.In order to test my mettle and demonstrate my skills, I've agreed to enter the Maelstrom Arena, where deadly challenges created by Fa-Nuit-Hen's Barons await me. ![]() This effect can occur once every 6 seconds and the damage scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage.I have been welcomed into the bizarre realm of the Daedric Demiprince Fa-Nuit-Hen. This effect can occur once every 13 seconds. (5 items) When you Bash an enemy, you gain Glorious Defense for 10 seconds, allowing you to dodge the next attack made against you and all others afterwards for 1 second. (4 items) Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage Each effect is picked randomly and an effect that is already active cannot refresh. (5 items) Whenever you deal Flame, Shock, or Frost Damage, you gain 492 Weapon and Spell Damage for Flame, Shock, or Frost Damage for 4 seconds.
